perpendicular to that (transverse). This data is based upon the room temperature stress\/strain behavior of molded test specimens.<\/p>\n<p>Fiber reinforced materials are not isotropic, and can have significantly different material properties in different directions (anisotropic). This is caused by the flow\/shear induced orientation of the fibrous reinforcement, and is dependent upon part geometry, gate location, processing, and many other
